Let’s start 2020 on the right note ⭐🍷⭐ with Pinot Noir! Happy New Year to all; let’s celebrate with Flight Night TONIGHT! We’re helping you with your resolution of drinking great wine, and eating fabulous food!
This Flight Night begins on Thursday, January 2nd, and the wines and their tapas will be available through January 7th.
First, SOHO will pour a Anne Amie Pinot Noir 2017 from Willamette Valley. The winemaker offers,
“Aroma of red cherry, strawberry, sassafras, cardamom, fig. Flavor of red cherry, clove, baking spice, fig, cassis, cola. Finish is long with smooth tannins and acidity.”
Next, SOHO will pour a Maison Louis Latour Pinot Noir 2017 from Burgundy, France. The wine is described by the winemaker,
“With an intense ruby color, the 2017 unveils aromas of wild strawberry, mocha, and undergrowth. On tasting, it is very elegant and fresh with grilled noted and smooth tannins.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a Black Cottage Pinot Noir 2018 from Marlborough, N.Z. Notes on the wine,
“Deep garnet in colour, this wine displays aromas of black cherry, violets, forest floor and caramelised sugar. The palate has black forest chocolate gateaux notes with cardamom, chai, pink peppercorns and a touch of iodine adding interest. Underlying cranberry flavours are supported by a waxy mouthfeel and a juicy finish.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
