Three exceptional Mediterranean wines will be highlighted at SOHO this evening for Flight Night! The wines and tapas debuting tonight are available through Tuesday, July 5.
Please make reservations here: https://www.opentable.com/r/soho-atlanta
First, SOHO will pour a 2021 Gotas de Mar Albariño from Rias Baixas, Spain.
“Round aromas of melon, peach and honey are more mature and soft than the usual punchiness one expects from Albariño. Baked apple, green banana and melony flavors are smooth on the finish.”
The second wine is a 2020 Cantine Colosi Nero D’Avola Sicilia DOC from Sicilia, Italy.
“Dark ruby red color. The bouquet on the nose is intense and typical with hints of dark cherries and blackberries together with more complex aromas of wet leather, black olive and Indian ink in the background. On the palate it is dry, rich, full-bodied, with a refreshing, long and fruity finish.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2020 La Nymphina Monastrell from Yecla, Spain.
“Dark ribbon of raspberry color. Beautiful concentration of fruity aromas made up of black cherries, blueberry, coffee and dark spices such as cardamom. The softer more gentle aromas of milk chocolate and lavender rounds off the aromas and flavors making the wine more complete. Soft tannins, well balanced and long enjoyable aftertaste.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:
