Three fabulous French wines will be highlighted at SOHO this evening for Flight Night! The wines and tapas debuting tonight are available through Tuesday, May 31.

Please make reservations here: https://www.opentable.com/r/soho-atlanta

First, SOHO will pour a 2020 Boutinot La Fleur Solitaire Blanc from Côtes du Rhône.

“Proper white Côtes du Rhône; fresh, medium-bodied, vinous. The nose is pretty and delicate, with a waft of fennel tops and hints of hedgerow flowers. The flavors are nuanced and refined rather than overt. Careful use of oak adds texture and structure without masking the freshness of this very drinkable white.”

The second wine is a 2018 Cave de Saumur Les Pouches Rouge from Saumur.

“Red Saumur has a beautiful, deep ruby-red color and a bouquet of red fruit (blackcurrant and raspberry). This wine is attractive and easy to drink. It is quite fruity and a bit spicy on the palate with the elegant, soft tannins that characterize it. “

Finally, SOHO will pour a Chateau Petit-Freylon Cuvée Sarah Bordeaux Superieur from Bordeaux Superieur.

“This powerful wine is rich in tannins as well as dark black fruits. With its structure and young concentration, the wine is firm with a dry finish.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

2020 Boutinot La Fleur Solitaire Blanc
Appellation : Côtes du Rhône
Varietal: Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette
Paired with: Cold Smoked Salmon, Crème Fraîche & Dill

2018 Cave de Saumur Les Pouches Rouge
Appellation : Saumur
Varietal: Cabernet Franc
Paired with: Grilled Quail, Spicy French Dressing

Chateau Petit-Freylon Cuvée Sarah Bordeaux Superieur
Appellation : Bordeaux Superieur
Varietal : Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Paired with: Grilled Sirloin, Steak Au Poivre, Risotto

Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $15. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $21. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $16. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($10/glass and $8/tapas)

Can’t make it to Flight Night on Wednesday? No worries! While our pairings debut on Wednesdays, they’re available through the following Tuesday, so you have all week to catch up on the featured wines and tapas.

We can’t wait to see you!

Please make reservations here: https://www.opentable.com/r/soho-atlanta

First, SOHO will pour a 2019 Bodegas Familia Schroeder Saurus Select Pinot Noir from Patagonia, Argentina.

“Bright red tones. Plenty of floral aromas, like roses and violets, combined with red fruit scents such as red currants, raspberries and strawberries. Medium-bodied red, of ultrafine tannins and fruity nuances that wave through a finish of superior depth and dimension”

The second wine is a 2018 Cuvelier Los Andes Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina.

“Bright medium ruby. Vibrant, penetrating aromas of blackberry, black cherry, violet and bitter chocolate; an essence of Malbec. Dense and seamless but youthful and light on its feet, showing lovely restrained sweetness but noteworthy thickness and depth to its pure, vibrant fla-vors of crushed dark berries and bitter chocolate. “

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2019 Parducci True Grit Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve from Mendocino, California.

“A very intense and beautiful violet red color. The aromas are very complex with mineral, ripe red fruits, plums and floral notes. A very good intensity. There is a very good entry on the palate with a sweet sensation. Velvety with an excellent body and a pleasant and long finish. Very balanced.”
