This Flight Night begins on Wednesday June 24th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through June 30th.

First, SOHO will pour a Groth Sauvignon Blanc 2018 from Napa Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“This is a fleshy, robust white that displays tropical fruit and oak in equal measure. Rich and creamy, it appeals in tangerine, mango and Tahitian vanilla, lifted by vibrant acidity.”

The second wine is a Whitehall Lane “Tre Leoni” 2016 from Napa Valley. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“The nose evokes candied black fruit, red currants, stewed black plums, licorice, and dried sage. On the palate, it bursts with fresh blackberries, crème de cassis, dark chocolate, and mixed berry jam. This wine has great texture that ultimately finishes with round, silky smooth tannins. Enjoy Tre Leoni with your next barbeque and when gathering with family or friends.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Trefethen Oak Knoll Cabernet 2017 from Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,

“Ripe, focused flavors of cherry, boysenberry, and black currants are complemented by soft notes of cedar, bay leaf, and a savory earthiness. On the palate, this wine has a fruit-driven entry balanced with firm tannins that give way to a lush, lingering finish.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

We are having so much fun with Chef Joey’s tapas! His culinary creativity is SHINING, and our awesome Sommelier Jeff Gelfond is doing a fabulous job of choosing wines to compliment the food! We’re still in the region of California, and our guests are loving it. Will we see you this week to try our wine and tapas pairings before they’re gone? We hope so!

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, March 20th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through March 26th.

“The resulting sparkling wine fills the palate with sublime notes of green apples with harmonizing acidity and minerality, before leading to a delicate essence of lemon mousse with a buttery vitality, and finishing with an aroma of peaches and apricots. The jovial wine pairs perfectly with meals, but is equally enjoyable without accompaniment.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Steele “Block N” Pinot Noir 2015 from Santa Barbara. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“This vineyard, given its coastal influence, produces a wine with freshly picked strawberry, bing cherries, cloves, and spice, aromas and flavors. But still has a balance of acidity and a finish that lingers of sweet tobacco and spices.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Lake & Vine Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 from Red Hill, Lake County. Notes on the wine,

“This wine exudes a deep purple color in the glass with stunning aromas of concentrated plums, dark cherries and blackberries with subtle hints of spice and currant. Only about 3% of wines are grown above 1,100 feet elevation, Lake & Vine Cabernet Sauvignon is one of them.”
