Thank you so much for your continued support of SOHO American Bistro. We are so happy to serve you, our loyal friends and patrons, for over 23 years. We are also excited about the new friends we make as people hear about us through your kind words and recommendations.

During these complex times we wanted to assure you we are observing the highest standards for sanitation and cleanliness. We are going the extra mile to assure a safe and healthful environment. Please see some of the efforts that help us stand out in the neighborhood.

•Our entire staff is back in masks. We enjoyed the break but current conditions warrant the extra step.

•We sanitize every table in between use with disposable table wipes designed specifically for the purpose.

•We have increased outdoor seating to accommodate those wanting fresh air. We will start taking limited reservations on the patio beginning in September—these will NOT be available on OpenTable. You must speak with a host or manager as we are limiting our reservations outside.

•Weather permitting, we will open the Paces room to invite the fresh air into our dining room.

•We have a service coming through and sanitizing our entire environment throughout the week.

Please let us know if you have any concerns. We appreciate your feedback and trust. We will continue to update all of our practices based on the National Restaurant Association’s “best practices.”

Warmly,

The SOHO Management & Team

First, SOHO will pour a 2018 Silverado Sauvignon Blanc :

Bright and spritzy, with light aromatics of grapefruit, pineapple and kiwi. Passionfruit, mango and lemon curd flavors burst through this well-balanced wine with bright acidity and hints of lime zest on the finish.

The second wine is a 2018 Napa by Napa Pinot Noir

Dominated elegant red fruits including raspberry and strawberry, crisp acidity and richness from Pinot Meunier and color, tannin and dark fruit flavors from a touch of Syrah. These Napa Valley varietals were fermented and aged separately in a combination of new and French oak.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2018 Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine opens with enticing aromas of dried cranberries, chocolate-covered cherries, and juicy plum. In the mouth there is a pronounced note of ripe cherries, wild blackberries, black mission figs and espresso, layered together with balanced toasted French oak.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

Silverado Sauvignon Blanc, 2018
Napa Valley
Sauvignon Blanc
Paired with: Country Fried Chicken, Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes and Country Gravy

Napa by Napa Pinot Noir 2018

First, SOHO will pour a 2019 William Hill Chardonnay

Aromas of ripe Anjou pear and crème brulee complement layers of ripe peach, golden apple and lemon shortbread on the palate. The velvety mouthfeel is balanced by bright acidity that carries through a fresh finish with a hint of spice.

The second wine is a 2017 Markham Merlot

The estate vineyards provide the backbone in this Napa Valley blend with Oak Knoll`s Li􀀂le Cannon weighing in with a distinct tart cherry character. This showstopper has a lovely balance of candied cherry laced with chocolate aromas. Floral fruit runs from strawberry preserves to boysenberry and is accented with an assortment of baking spices.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2018 Martin Ray Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark ruby at the center with crimson violet staining tears. The nose opens to black currant, blackberry, crushed bay leaf and shaved chocolate. This vintage has some polish to show off with dried blueberry, vanilla, and herbal tones, framed by finely chiseled tannins.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

William Hill Chardonnay, 2019
Napa Valley

First, SOHO will pour a 2017 Tosalet Priorat from Priorat, Spain

Clear deep dark purple color. Pure and very intense aromas reminiscent of red berry fruit such as cranberries, red cherries and raspberries combined with mineral notes. The palate is dry, full bodied with rich concentrated juicy fruit.

The second wine is a 2012 Perelada 5 Finques Reserva from Emporda, Spain

Deep cherry red color, with violet hints. Its aromas reminds of fruits, spices, with some balsamic notes and a toasted background. In the mouth it is wide, well-structured and balanced. Its tannins are present but well integrated. It has a very fresh acidity. This is a wine with a great personality and long after taste.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2014 Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva from Rioja, Spain

Intense black cherry color with good depth of colour and hardly any signs of evolution. Very expressive aromas on the nose with notes of licorice, cinnamon and black pepper, with just a subtle hint of the long cask-aging, thanks to its great complexity and ripe, concentrated fruit.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

Tosalet Priorat, 2017
Priorat, Spain
50% Garnacha, 35% Carignan, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
