The wines and flavors of the Pacific Northwest shine at SOHO this evening for Flight Night! The wines and tapas debuting tonight are available through Tuesday, September 21.

First, SOHO will pour a 2020 Big Salt White Wine from Oregon.

Wildly aromatic, laced with Gewurz and Muscat over-tones, but framed by citrusy Riesling. Salty bergamot, lemon, nectarine and white tea– exotic fruits fill out the nose. The palate is filled with the texture of Gewurz, herbal hints from Pinot Blanc, but quickly washed back with classic Riesling acidity.

The second wine is a 2019 Jezebel Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon.

Fruit-forward, approachable but balanced and typically Oregon Pinot Noir; light to medium-bodied with bright, red fruit flavors and a smooth finish.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2019 In Sheep’s Clothing Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley, Washington

Layers of cassis, blueberries, and black cherries, this wine lends to a New World style of fruit with more of an Old World structure with a hint of wood smoke. This wine fully embraces an integral part of classic Cabernet Sauvignon by highlighting a complex blend of dried herbs: anise, thyme and bay leaf.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

Paired with: Pulled Pork Sandwich with Crispy Fried Onion

Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $14.75. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $19.50. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $14. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($9.75/glass and $6.75/tapas)
