This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, May 19, and the wines and their tapas will be available until Tuesday, May 25.
First, SOHO will pour 2018 Stags’ Leap Viognier
This Viognier is sourced from the Oak Knoll and Carneros AVA`s. It gives up seriously spicy notes of nutmeg and coriander seed with a core of baked pears, ripe apricot . This wine has delicate ﬂoral aromas, fruit freshness and balance acidity.
The second wine is a 2018 Annabella Red Blend
This Annabella Red Blend is an explosive delight from the start. Aromas of raspberry, milk chocolate, candied cherries, cinnamon and clove jump from the glass. The wine is soft and plump in the mouth, with ripe juicy ﬂavors of red plum and strawberries complimented by spicy French oak and freshly roasted coﬀee.
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2018 Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon
Displaying the lushness and balance that deﬁne great Cabernet Sauvignon, this inving wine features layers of blackberry, black cherry and blueberry, along with notes of dark chocolate and fresh spearmint. On the palate, the bright, juicy ﬂavors are framed by rich, reﬁned tannins that carry the wine.
SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:
Stags’ Leap Viognier, 2018
Paired with: Salmon Ceviche, Grapefruit and Arugula Salad
Annabella Red Blend, 2018
Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Paired with: Seared Duck Breast, Sweet Potato Cake, Cabernet Cherry Sauce
Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018
Paired with: Blackened Ribeye, Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes, Cabernet Sauvignon Demi
Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $14.75. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $19.50. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $14. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($9.75/glass and $6.75/tapas)
