First, SOHO will pour a 2019 Freemark Abbey Sauvignon Blanc
The wine opens with aromas of honeydew melon, mandarin, lemongrass, and peach. The palate is fresh and vibrant with ﬂavors of cantaloupe, apricot, tangerine and white ﬂoral notes. The ﬁnish has a plenty of minerality and viscosity.
The second wine is a 2018 Pozzan Oakville Zinfandel
Broad aromas of raspberry, peach, candied cherry and a hint of black pepper. In the mouth, the smooth, supple tannins intertwine with ﬂavors of ripe juicy red plum, raspberries, light caramel and milk chocolate. The lengthy ﬁnish carries the barrel spice all the way to the very end.
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2018 Girard Cabernet Sauvignon
Supple red berry and tart cherry aromas on the nose develop into savory spices, cocoa and black plum ﬂavors as they coat the palate. This wine is vibrant with undulated ﬂavors of raspberry jam, dusty minerality and vanilla lead to a powerful ﬁnish.
SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:
