Enjoy Spanish wines and Chef Todd’s Spanish-inspired tapa at SOHO throughout April!

Please make reservations for social distancing with us here:Ā https://www.opentable.com/r/soho-atlanta

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, April 14, and the wines and their tapas will be available until Tuesday, April 20.

First, SOHO will pour a 2019 Bodegas Ateca Honoro Vera Garnacha from Calatayud, Spain.

Honoro Vera Garnacha is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for 2 months in French oak barrels. It shows bright aromas and flavors of red current, cherry, and raspberry with a touch of toasted oak, spice and silky tannins.

The second wine is a 2018 Bodegas Juan Gil Monastrell from Jumilla, Spain.

Densely colored wine with an impressive, impactful nose. Spice, cedar, toast and chocolate are layered with blackberry and plum. The palate has juicy ripe plum and a textural earthy chocolate sensation. Tannins build to the finish. A complex wine with great balance, concentration and length.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2015 Cune Rioja Reserva from Rioja, Spain.

Medium intensity ruby in color with a pink hint at the rim. The nose shows good aromatic intensity with aromas of fresh wild berries and licorice. The palate is soft and marked by silky tannins and a long, fruity and youthful finish.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

Bodegas Ateca Honoro Vera Garnacha, 2019
Calatayud, Spain
Grenache
Paired with: Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese & Black Pepper Spread on Baguette

Bodegas Juan Gil Monastrell, 2018
Jumilla, Spain

Paired with:Spanish Pork Skewers on Swiss Chard

Cune Rioja Reserva, 2015
Rioja, Spain
85% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha and Mazuelo
Paired with : Duck Confit Figs, Parsnip Puree on a Baguette

Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $14.75. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $19.50. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $14. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($9.75/glass and $6.75/tapas)

Can’t make it to Flight Night on Wednesday? No worries! While our pairings debut on Wednesdays, they’re available through the following Tuesday, so you have all week to catch up on the featured wines and tapas.

We can’t wait to see you!
