This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, April 28, and the wines and their tapas will be available until Tuesday, May 4

First, SOHO will pour a 2017 Tosalet Priorat from Priorat, Spain

Clear deep dark purple color. Pure and very intense aromas reminiscent of red berry fruit such as cranberries, red cherries and raspberries combined with mineral notes. The palate is dry, full bodied with rich concentrated juicy fruit.

The second wine is a 2012 Perelada 5 Finques Reserva from Emporda, Spain

Deep cherry red color, with violet hints. Its aromas reminds of fruits, spices, with some balsamic notes and a toasted background. In the mouth it is wide, well-structured and balanced. Its tannins are present but well integrated. It has a very fresh acidity. This is a wine with a great personality and long after taste.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2014 Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva from Rioja, Spain

Intense black cherry color with good depth of colour and hardly any signs of evolution. Very expressive aromas on the nose with notes of licorice, cinnamon and black pepper, with just a subtle hint of the long cask-aging, thanks to its great complexity and ripe, concentrated fruit.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

Tosalet Priorat, 2017
Priorat, Spain
50% Garnacha, 35% Carignan, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Paired with: Grilled Pork Tenderloin & Garlic-Citrus Soy Glaze

Perelada 5 Finques Reserva, 20212
Emporda, Spain
Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Garnacha, Carignan
Paired with: Grilled Filet of Beef Topped with Blue Cheese and Red Wine Demi

Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva, 2014
Rioja, Spain
Tempranillo
Paired with: Pan-Roasted Duck Breast, Sherry, Honey & Thyme Sauce

Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $14.75. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $19.50. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $14. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($9.75/glass and $6.75/tapas)

Can’t make it to Flight Night on Wednesday? No worries! While our pairings debut on Wednesdays, they’re available through the following Tuesday, so you have all week to catch up on the featured wines and tapas.

We can’t wait to see you!
