First, SOHO will pour a 2018 Bacchus ‘Ginger Cuvee’ Pinot Noir from California.

Dark ruby color. Light to medium bodied with aromas and flavors of raspberry, tart cherry, spice with a touch of earth. Supple and balance with a smooth finish.

The second wine is the 2018 Pessimist by Daou from Paso Robles, California.

A powerhouse vintage with a plethora fruit showcasing blueberry, boysenberry, plum and strawberry. Smoky notes of truffle and roasted coffee are accompanied by accents of floral.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2018 Justin Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep ruby-purple core. Aroma􀀁c with ripe black cherry and cassis with dusty tobacco leaf, baking spice, oak, leather. Dry, almost full bodied on entry with ripe black cherry leading black currant and red berry fruit with vanilla and cinnamon spice and oak accents.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, March 24, and the wines and their tapas will be available until Tuesday, March 30.

First, SOHO will pour a 2014 Terre Rouge ‘Tete a Tete’ from California’s Sierra Foothills.

2014 was a year where most of our Rhone varietal lots had brightness and ripe fruit. This wine drinks like wines from solid Cote-du-Rhone-Villages: sappy, spicy, mouth-filing and nuanced. Typical deep boysenberry fruit , with smoky, gamey complex.

The second wine is a 2018 Stephen Vincent Crimson

Notes of black cherry, rhubarb, anise and toasted cacao nibs abound. Flavors are dark and brooding with blueberry pie and berry jam being predominate features. The tannins are particularly lush and melting with seamless consistency throughout.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2018 Klinker Brick Winery Cabernet Sauvginon

Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits medium garnet color, intense blueberry aromas with hint of clove and supple dark cherry on the palate. Fully integrated and well balanced, this wine has great tannin with a long, lingering finish.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

Terre Rouge, ‘Tete a Tete’, 2014
Sierra Foothills, California
43% Grenache, 43% Mourvedre, 14% Syrah
Paired with: Grilled Chicken Skewers, Rosemary Strawberry Compote

Stephen Vincent Crimson, 2018
North Coast, California
47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Verdot, 8% Merlot
Paired with: Pan-Seared Ribeye, Mach & Cheese, Red Wine Demi

Klinker Brick Winery Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018
Lodi, California
Cabernet Sauvignon
Sautéed Pork Loin, Mashed Potatoes, Peach Jus

Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $14.75. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $19.50. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $14. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($9.75/glass and $6.75/tapas)
