This Flight Night begins on Wednesday January 6th, and the wines and their tapas will be available until January 12th.

First, SOHO will pour a Left Coast Cali’s Cuvee Pinot Noir 2017 from Willamette Valley, OR.

“Expressive black cherry,black tea, and forest floor aromas expose a polished and poised dark raspberry, bitter chocolate and spice flavors that finish with our region’s minerality and mild tannin. Cali’s Cuvée is a versatile and exceedingly food friendly.”

The second wine is a Frederic Esmonin 2019 -Les Genevrieres- Pinot Noir from Bourgogne. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Les Genevrieres glows light red in the glass, yielding aromas of tart cranberry, ripe strawberry, and hints of brown spices. On the palate, soft cherry fruit eases into fleshed-out raspberry elements. The finish is bright and elongated, tying together a very charming, easy-to-drink Burgundy.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Luli Pinot Noir 2016 from Santa Lucia Highlands. Notes on the wine,

“The 2016 Luli Pinot Noir offers vibrant aromatics of fresh black cherry, ripe strawberry, and sous bois. Medium ruby in color, this wine showcases the rugged, foggy slopes of the Santa Lucia Highlands with its lively acidity and rich flavors—of crushed plum and baking spice. The 2016 vintage yielded wines with seamless layers of texture and structure that come to life here with a voluminous blanket of soft, supple tannin.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:

Paired with: Blackened Grouper with Parmesean Risotto and Lemon Buerre Blanc

Frederic Esmonin 2019 -Les Genevrieres- Pinot Noir
Paired with: Tempura Chicken Nuggets, Sweet and Sour Sauce

Luli Pinot Noir 2016
100% Pinot Noir
Paired with: Beef Tartare, Kalamata Olives, Goat Cheese, Piquillo Peppers and Parsely

Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $14.75. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $19.50. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $14. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($9.75/glass and $6.75/tapas)

Can’t make it to Flight Night on Wednesday? No worries! While our pairings debut on Wednesdays, they’re available through the following Tuesday, so you have all week to catch up on the featured wines and tapas.
