This Flight Night begins on Wednesday January 27th, and the wines and their tapas will be available until February 2nd.
First, SOHO will pour a Daniel Cohn Bellacosa Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 from North Coast, CA.
“Deep ruby color and rich hue. The nose is complex and shows layers of dark fruit flavors and spice tones. Blueberry, rich plum and red raspberry notes are apparent. Soft notes of vanilla and toast provide aromatic richness. The texture is supple with depth on the pallet. The tannins are lush with long finish texture.”
The second wine is a Alexander Valley Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 from Alexander Valley, CA. The wine is described by the winemaker,
“This is an elegant wine with aromas of black cherry, cassis, plum, vanilla, oak and chocolate. In the glass there are lush flavors of cherry, cassis, blackberry and chocolate. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon evolves with each sip. This is a graceful wine with great balance and a long, lingering finish. While fruit forward upon release, this wine will reward those with the patience to lay down a few bottles.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 from Napa Valley, CA. Notes on the wine,
“Bursting with characteristic creme cases, boysenberry, and milk chocolate on the nose, in the mouth the wine blooms with black plum, cranberry, cocoa powder, and a hint of mission fig. The tannins are broad and provide ample framing for the wine’s large aromatic volume. Cardamom and cinnamon linger throughout the finish.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:
