This Flight Night begins on Wednesday December 2nd, and the wines and their tapas will be available until December 8th.
First, SOHO will pour a Blackbird Vineyards “Arriviste” Rose 2019 from Napa Valley.
“The 2019 Arriviste captures the vintage’s outstanding growing conditions in a mouth-watering package: a Cabernet, Merlot, and Cab Franc blend with dark peach color and striking aromas of cherry, violet, iris and Oolong tea. Flavors of cherry, nectarine, blackberry, and grapefruit combine for a rich, full-flavored rosé with balanced acidity. Finishes long and silky with plum, black currant, raspberry, and pineapple.”
The second wine is a MacRostie Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast. The wine is described by the winemaker,
“This wine has a garnet color and ripe black currant aromas. The palate is dynamic and bright, with vibrant flavors of plum, baking spice and cocoa with fine dusty tannins that carry through to a lingering finish.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a Beaulieu Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 from Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,
“For more than a century our Cabernet Sauvignon has defined the unique character of Napa Valley. I’ve had the honor for more than 20 years to carry on this tradition. I am pleased to off this elegant and balanced wine, which expresses velvety layers of blackberry, ripe plum and chocolate.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines:
