This Flight Night begins on Wednesday October 7th, and the wines and their tapas will be available until October 13th.
First, SOHO will pour a Stewart Cellars Chardonnay 2018 from Sonoma Mountain, CA.
“With the subtle hints of French oak shining through on the nose, our 2018 Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay is both elegant and bright. Featuring more citrus flavors than previous vintages, this medium-bodied Chardonnay has flavors of lemon, lime, white peach, and apple. The palate is long and the finish highlights the French oak, circling us back to the beginning. As always, it pairs very well with food. Drink now and enjoy!”
The second wine is a Dry Creek Zinfandel 2018 from Sonoma County, CA. The wine is described by the winemaker,
“The 2018 Heritage Vines Zinfandel is delicious and beautifully balanced. This vintage presents enticing aromatics of boysenberry, cranberry and plum with hints of coriander, cardamom and dark chocolate. On the palate, brambly flavors of blackberry and black cherry come forward. The wine is complex, with bright acidity complimented by deeper notes of cumin, black pepper and white pepper. The tannins are silky and smooth to lend a round, rich mouthfeel. From start to finish, this remarkable wine offers refreshing acidity paired with excellent structure.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a Enos Cabernet 2016 from Sonoma County, CA. Notes on the wine,
“The nose is rich with notes of worn leather, graphite, toasted pumpkin seeds and black cherry cream. The palate is rich and weighty with fine, chalky tannins. A long, seamless finish is resplendent with peppery dark forest fruit, roasted game and blackberry coulis.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
