This Flight Night begins on Wednesday October 28th, and the wines and their tapas will be available until November 3rd.

First, SOHO will pour a MacRostie Pinot Noir 2017 from Sonoma County.

“From its vibrant ruby-red color to its alluring aromas of raspberry, plum, baking spice and a dust of oak, this is a bright and enticing expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. On the palate, firm, velvety tannins underscore generous layers of berry fruit that glide to a long, lush finish!”

The second wine is a Gundlach Bundschu Mountain Cuvee 2018 from Sonoma Valley, CA. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Refreshing aromas of black cherries and blackberries lifted by vanilla and warm baking spices lead into a light-to-medium bodied palate of more dark fruit, savory cocoa and earth, while dusty tannins and mouth-watering acidity leave a lingering freshness.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Trig Point ‘Diamond Dust’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 from Alexander Valley, CA. Notes on the wine,

“Bright, deep garnet. Offers an impressive mix of red cherry, blackberry, and espresso notes fanning out to dried herb and tobacco accents. The mid-palate is soft and expansive with roasted coffee and ripe blackberry flavors. Finishes with soft, supple tannins.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday October 14th, and the wines and their tapas will be available until October 20th.

First, SOHO will pour a Banshee Pinot Noir 2018 from Sonoma County.

“An exciting, yet friendly wine, bursting at the seams with aromas of macerated wild berries and an elegant, soft earth undertone. The flavors combine both sweet and tart, reminiscent of Santa Rosa plums and wild blackberries that grow so commonly in Sonoma Wine Country. The finish is bright, slightly herbal, and savory making this an excellent food wine, as well as a charming drinking experience by itself.”

The second wine is a Bench Merlot 2017 from Sonoma County, CA. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Vibrant, Silky, Complex. This memorable Knights Valley Merlot is brightly aromatic with hints of cherry, currant, and cedar. This wine’s complex yet elegant structure, supports notes of toasty vanilla spice, cocoa, and forest fruit with soft tannins and a lush, and mouthwatering finish.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Kunde Estate Cabernet 2017 from Sonoma County, CA. Notes on the wine,

“Concentrated flavors of plum, cassis and red currants find balance with the oak in this wine. Small percentages of Cabernet Franc and Merlot are blended with the Cabernet Sauvignon before the wine is aged for 16 months. Hints of spice and cedar work well with hearty stews.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
