This Flight Night begins on Wednesday August 19th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through August 25th.

First, SOHO will pour a Gotas de Mar Rosé 2019 from Ribeiro, Spain.

“Pale pink color, very clear, which is in accordance with its subtle and elegant nose with notes of white flowers and citrus background. The palate is light, but intense with a very good acidity, very clean and alive, reminiscent of citrus notes.”

The second wine is a Bodegas Borsao Zarihs 2015 from Campo de Borja, Spain. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Appearance: Opaque red-black. Crimson purple rim. Aroma: Powerful impression of blackberries, with a hint of wood smoke and sweet vanilla. The nose begins to open up and develops notes of dark chocolate. Palate: The initial impact is very full bodied, with a plush, soft structure. Flavors of dark berries dominate; wild blackberries and dried plums, with notes of espresso coffee.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Bodegas Luzon Altos de Luzon 2013 from Jumilla, Spain. Notes on the wine,

“This sturdy red has a four-square structure of big tannins and balsamic acidity. Flavors of ripe plum, dried fig, licorice and espresso mingle, with a clean finish. A bit rustic, but balanced. Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Todd Paige has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
