The last week of french wines begins TONIGHT for Flight Night! Chef Todd has some delicious tapas paired with our wines, so come hungry. Please make reservations with us here: http://ow.ly/cvMd50AKIfx to help us with distancing protocols.

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday July 29th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through August 4th.

First, SOHO will pour a Gérard Bertrand Brut Rosé 2017 from Crémant de Limoux, France.

“Crémant Thomas Jefferson Rosé boasts a beautiful, salmon-pink robe with glimmering reflections. Delicate bubbles and an extraordinary vivacity on the palate, with a rich, indulgent texture. A complex bouquet with long lasting aromas of red fruit (strawberry and raspberry), backed with hints of toasted bread.”

The second wine is a Domaine la Garrigue Vacqueyras 2018 from Côtes Catalanes, France. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Fabulous notes of black raspberry, licorice and crushed violets to go with medium bodied richness, fine tannin and a supple, pretty profile on the palate, with class and elegance.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Château Saint-André Corbin St. Emillion 2017 from Medoc, Bordeaux, France. Notes on the wine,

“Dark garnet color, overripe red fruit with hints of marzipan and dried herbs. Lush palate of light red fruit, red currant and pomegranate, medium body and finish.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

🇫🇷 Vive la France! French wines take the spotlight in July for our wine flights! Come see us tonight for Flight Night to start a new month of our amazing wine & tapa pairings. We’ll be ready at 5, so please make reservations to help us with distancing protocols here: http://ow.ly/JF8D50AnhrP

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday July 1st, and the wines and their tapas will be available through July 7th.

First, SOHO will pour a La Légende de Saint-Martin Sancerre ‘18 from Loire Valley, France.  The winemaker offers,

“It shows an attractive, though not fully brilliant perfume of minerally accentuated citrus flavors and white fruits. The fresh, citric, medium to full-bodied Sauvignon has a very good fruit concentration, a skinny taste and a powerful and aromatic length.”

The second wine is a Maison Roche De Bellene Bourgogne ‘17 from Burgundy, France. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“The entry-level red Burgundy comes from vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The vines range in age from 30 to 80 years and are farmed sustainably. The major part of this wine is matured in barriques and the remainder is done in stainless steel. This maintains a pure style
with bright fruit and a fine texture.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a La Petite Lune 2016 from Bordeaux, France. Notes on the wine,

“At the tasting, the Little Red Moon offers a shimmering and deep ruby color. The nose is intense red and black fruits well walls. It is a fresh and fine wine. We find spicy notes finely peppery and flowery. The violet is present and is reminiscent of Merlot. The entry is round, silky, fleshy, very fruity and sweet! The tannins are fine, structuring and persistent in the finish. The Little Red Moon is balanced, fruity, rich, elegant. A Bordeaux upscale.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
