First, SOHO will pour a Monchiero Carbone “Cecu d’ la Biunda” Roero Arneis 2017 from Roero, Alba.  The winemaker offers,

Colour: bright, intense straw-yellow notes. Nose: great intensity on the nose, showing great depth that evolves slowly into sensations of aromatic freshness, ranging from white currants to hints of mint to sage. Taste: the entry onto the palate is strongly marked by a splendid freshness of flavour, which gradually shows its true power and mouth-filling qualities, developing into a rich and very long finish on which white currants stand out.

Next, SOHO will pour a Barone Cornacchia Montepulchiano d’ Abruzzo 2017 from Abruzzo. The wine is described by the winemaker,

Deep ruby red with violet-purple reflections. Huge, fruity bouquet, black cherry and herb scented. Lush currant fruit with velvety soft tannins and perfect fruit acid balance. A wine of great harmony and intensity. The finish is long and spicy.

Finally, SOHO will pour a Terre Rossa “Oltre” Sangiovese Grosso 2014 from Montalcino, Tuscany. Notes on the wine,

The Terra Rossa Oltre is a Montalcino super Tuscan, an 80/20 blend of Sangiovese Grosso and Merlot; it is smooth, inky, and rich, with a palate of black currants, huckleberries, brown spices, minerals, and black cherries.

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
