Ooh, la la! 🍇 Flight Night is TONIGHT, so come get out of the cold, and taste some beautiful GSM blends with us! Of course, Chef’s tapas to pair with the wines are AMAZING, so you won’t go hungry. Come see us at 5:30, we’ll be waiting for you!
This Flight Night begins on Thursday, January 22nd, and the wines and their tapas will be available through January 28th.
First, SOHO will pour a Zaca Mesa ‘Z Three’ GSM 2012 from Santa Ynez. The winemaker offers,
“Our 2012 vintage of Z-Three shows lifted notes of red, blue and black fruit, roasted herbs and spice. These complex flavors are framed by smoky oak tones and polished tannins, which carry the flavors through the long finish.”
Next, SOHO will pour a Cass GSM Blend Paso Robles 2016 from Paso Robles. The wine is described by the winemaker,
“Ripe, juicy and approachable. This inviting blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre resembles flavors of blueberry compote, dark plum, pomegranate preserves and AllSpice on the nose. The bright yet supple palate showcases essence of fresh cranberry, crushed clove, tomato puree and a dash of orange zest. The finish is complete -smooth and soft – a perfect red for any occasion.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a Domaine Lafage Cote du Roussillon Tessellae Old Vine 2017 from Languedoc-Roussillon, France. Notes on the wine,
“A ripe, expansive, full-bodied and undeniably sexy red that has beautiful notes of kirsch liqueur, blueberries, pepper and violets, it has ripe and present tannin, straight up fabulous purity and a great finish.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
