It’s the end of the year, no…..the end of the DECADE. We’re going out in style, and we want you to celebrate with us: the final Flight Night of 2019 is tonight, and we’ve saved the most popular wines of the year for last. These wines will be available for two weeks, so you’ve got plenty of time to enjoy them during this beautiful holiday season. We wish you and yours a very happy holiday, and healthy and prosperous 2020!

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, December 18th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through December 31st.

Dec Week 3-page-001

First, SOHO will pour a Crossbarn Pinot Noir 2017 from Sonoma County.  The winemaker offers,

“Deep purple in color, the wine opens with fresh aromatics of violets, cinnamon spice, orange zest and strawberry jam. The palate is vibrant and rich, with juicy wild berry, baked rhubarb, and baking spice that’s surrounded by velvety tannins. Mouthwatering acidity and attractive mineral notes lead to a long, energetic finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Tres Sabores “¿Porque No?” 2014 from Napa Valley. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Fresh fruit aromas of dark fruits & chocolate. A full-bodied ‘party in a glass’ with blackcherries, and holiday spices.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Alasia Barolo D.O.C.G. 2014 from Barolo, Piedmont. Notes on the wine,

“Color is ruby red with garnet hints. Aroma is dark plum, leather and delicate violet aromas. Palate is a full, firm and ripe red with rich, powerful flavours. All balanced by ripe tannins, complex savoury notes and a long finish.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

Crossbarn Pinot Noir 2017
100% Pinot Noir
Paired with: Finochionna and Arugula Flatbread, Reggianito, Lemon

Tres Sabores “¿Porque No?” 2014
Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot
Paired with: Mushroom and Rice Croquette, Sherry-Mushroom Sauce

Alasia Barolo D.O.C.G. 2014
100% Nebbiolo
Paired with: Duck Confit Poutine

You chose them well: your favorite Flight Night wines of 2019 are back for one last time, and we’ve got the next flight ready this week! Are you coming to sit and sip with us?

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, December 11th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through December 17th.

First, SOHO will pour a Honig Sauvignon Blanc 2018 from Napa Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“Bright, and fresh. The flavors and aromas are reminiscent of peaches, lemon curd, white grapefruit, and passion fruit with perfectly balanced notes of citrus, stone fruit. The fullness of the mid-palate is complemented by a crisp, lengthy finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Iron + Sand Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 from Paso Robles. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“A layered and well-structured Paso Robles Cabernet with black fruit aromas and rich, mouthwatering flavors, balanced with velvety tannins and a lively acidity profile.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Brady Petit Sirah 2017 from Paso Robles. Notes on the wine,

“The Brady Vineyard Petite Sirah is rich and luxurious, featuring deep crimson color and aromas reminiscent of blackberry, and black pepper with subtle notes of roasted vanilla and spice. On tasting, it shows opulent texture and savory berry and bramble flavors that echo the aromas. The wine is luscious, full-bodied with balancing gentle acidity and just a hint of velvety oak that lengthens the finish.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

Honig Sauvignon Blanc 2018
92% Sauvignon Blanc, 7% Semillon 1% Muscat
Paired with: Chilled Shrimp and Avocado Salad, Tomato Cucumber

Iron + Sand Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Cabernet Sauvignon
Paired with: Prime Sirloin Skewers, Blackberry BBQ

Brady Petit Sirah 2017
100% Petit Sirah
Paired with: Braised Pork Belly Tacos, Garlic-Dulce, Cilantro, Onion

🍇The Best Wines of 2019 are here at Flight Night! Sip on your favorite wines for one last time, and let’s toast to a fabulous year, and many more to come! Come reminisce with us at 5:30 TONIGHT….

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, December 4th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through December 10th.

First, SOHO will pour a Mount Eden Chardonnay 2016 from Edna Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“Hints of cardamom, anise and hazelnut add interest to the core lemon, mineral flavors. Of all Mount Eden’s estate-grown wines, the Chardonnay is most in need of further bottle aging at release, requiring an additional two to four years to fully reveal its true character. Many vintages are still fresh and enjoyable after fifteen years, explaining why Mount Eden Estate Chardonnay is considered one of California’s longest-lived white wines.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Granville “Farmhouse Cuvee” Pinot Noir 2017 from Dundee Hills. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“The Farmhouse is a perfect example of Dundee Hills character. Brimming with succulent red and black fruit, herbaceous with slight cola nuances on a silky frame and deepening through the finish. Effortless drinkability–drink now or later, you won’t be upset either way.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 from Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,

“The 2017 Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning example a classic Napa Valley Cabernet. Enticing aromas of cassis, Bing cherry, and a hint of strawberry mingled with tobacco and dark chocolate. In the mouth, the voluptuous, broad wine shows flavors of ripe black cherries, root beer, and graphite, with a textured mid palate perfumed by well-integrated French oak. The finish is exotic with hints of wild flowers and nutmeg.”

Paired with: Whipped Goat Cheese Crostini, Fruit Compote

Granville “Farmhouse Cuvee” Pinot Noir 2017

Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 
90% Cabernet, 8% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot
Paired with: Lamb Sliders, Black Olive-Sage Tapenade, Sundried Tomato Goat Cheese
