For Flight Night, fabulous wines from Australia & New Zealand await! You’ve GOT to check out Chef Joey’s tapas this week too, they are AMAZING. We can’t wait to see you and sip on wines from “Down Under!”

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, November 6th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through November 12th.

First, SOHO will pour a Goldschmidt Vineyards Boulder Bank Sauvignon Blanc 2018 from Marlborough, N.Z.  The winemaker offers,

“Intensely aromatic and forward. The orange, passion fruit, and guava flavors are under pinned with a touch of fresh herb and flint. Vibrant and zingy with great balance and a long, crisp finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Elderton Shiraz Barossa 2015 from Barossa Valley, South Australia. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Style: Full bodied, rich, classic. Colour : A rich and vibrant dark purple. Aroma: Black forest fruits, dark chocolate and vanilla with hints of coconut. Palate: Plum and berries, chocolate and a spice finish”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Schild Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 from Barossa Valley, South Australia. Notes on the wine,

“Bright, dark ruby hues with aromas of primary dark plum fruit, coffee grounds and cigar box. Fragrant dark plum and cassis fruit are supported by notes of chocolate, a fresh acid line and a super fine tannin structure which all work together to provide some real focus to the line of travel. An ever so slight hint of menthol briefly appears just as the fruit rolls all the way through to the back end.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
