The finale of french wines begins TONIGHT, and we have to say, we’re sorry to see this month go! We (and our guests) had a great time drinking these wines and celebrating France’s culinary offerings. But alas, all good things must come to an end, so come say “au revoir” to the last week of our wine & tapa pairings from France with us! You will not be disappointed…

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, July 31st, and the wines and their tapas will be available through August 6th.

First, SOHO will pour a Domaines Schlumberger Alsace Riesling 2015 from Alsace.  The winemaker offers,

“The aromatic tang of ripe lemon peel plays on the nose. The palate is pervaded by the same refreshing zestiness, shimmering with cheerful citrus brightness amidst riper notions of pear and peach. This is mouth-watering stuff, almost addictive with its dry zesty finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Château Loudenne, MÊdoc Cru Bourgeois 2014 from Medoc, Bordeaux, France. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Purple color. The nose is powerful and complex with black fruits and toasted notes. There are also elegant fresh notes of mint and elderberry. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and fruity, with a nice tannic structure and a long finish. It is a wine with both good aging potential and tannins.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Château du Cèdre Cahors Malbec 2016 from Cahors. Notes on the wine,

“Honest and sincere, juicy and enlivening, tender and generous. A well-stocked fruit basket with plums, cherries and blackberries, enriched by fresh lemon zest and spices, supported by tangy minerality. A true Malbec from Cahors.”
