The way to a great May ➡ Napa wines at SOHO! You know we ❤ our Napa wines, and we know you do too! Come join us in celebrating May with our favorite Napa wineries + Chef Joey’s culinary delights to pair with them!

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, May 1st, and the wines and their tapas will be available through May 7th.

First, SOHO will pour Swanson Merlot 2016 from Napa Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“Deep dark in the glass with gorgeous aromas of blue fruit, pie crust and a touch of coconut husk. On the palate the rich texture combines well with the full bodied tannins and ripe plum along with cassis flavors. Layers of fruit intertwine with subtle secondary flavors of briar, cigar box and a touch of graphite minerality. Drinking well now but will improve with careful cellaring over the next 8-12 years.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir 2015 from Carneros, Napa Valley. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“The heady aromatics and refined silkiness of pinot noir show themselves here with a swirl of wild dark cherry and ripe, red plum aromas seamlessly layered with hints of dusty cocoa and dried herb complexity finishing with an intriguing touch of pink peppercorn spice to round out the lush fruit. 100% Pinot Noir.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Unum “Spring Mountain” Red 2013 from Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,

“Massive concentration, offering jammy plum, blackberry, and sweet tobacco. Finishes with roasted vanilla, baking spices, and lingering ripe tannins.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
