First, SOHO will pour a Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 from Napa Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“The 2016 Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning example a classic Napa Valley Cabernet. Enticing aromas of cassis, Bing cherry, and a hint of strawberry mingled with tobacco and dark chocolate. In the mouth, the voluptuous, broad wine shows flavors of ripe black cherries, root beer, and graphite, with a textured mid palate perfumed by well-integrated French oak. The finish is exotic with hints of wild flowers and nutmeg.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Tres Sabores “¿Porque No?” 2014 from Napa Valley. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Fresh fruit aromas of dark fruits & chocolate. A full-bodied ‘party in a glass’ with black
cherries, and holiday spices.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Sean Minor Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 from Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,

“Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep ruby color with aromas of ripe blackberry, red and black currants. Once in your mouth, flavors of blackberries and ripe plum fill the midpalate, entwined with black currant, mocha and black pepper, providing for a full-bodied and rich wine experience. The soft tannins and sweet oak balance lead to a long and lingering finish.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
90% Cabernet, 8% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot
Paired with: Prime Beef Tartare, Ketchup-Mayo, Pickle, Cheddar Dust

Tres Sabores “¿Porque No?” 2014
Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot
Paired with: Pork Belly Slider, Sweet Onion Jam, Arugala

Sean Minor Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
85% Cabernet, 8% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot
Paired with: Mac & Cheese/BBQ Pork Croquettes, House Chow Chow

Sample each wine in a flight (three three-ounce glasses) for $14.25. Or, pair the flight with a tapa plate for $19. Try a full glass of wine and tapa plate for $13. Of course, the wines and tapas are available individually as well ($9.50/glass and $6.50/tapas)

We can’t wait to see you!

The final week of Napa wines begins TONIGHT at Flight Night! What a great run it’s been; we’ve enjoyed seeing our guests enjoy our favorite wines and the feedback to our new tapas has been amazing. We hope that you’ll enjoy this week’s as well, and if you can’t make it tonight, then come find us in the next few days to enjoy your own Napa wine flight. We’d love to see you….cheers!

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, May 22nd, and the wines and their tapas will be available through May 28th.

Truchard-Winery-1

First, SOHO will pour a Truchard Pinot Noir 2015 from Carneros, Napa Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“Rich aromas of black cherry, pomegranate, and wild strawberry; with hints of rhubarb, tea, and earth. The mouth is silky; with flavors of cranberry, ripe plum, and sweet vanilla. Firm acidity and delicate tannins focus the palate and provide a lingering finish of spice and red fruit.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Luna Reserve Chardonnay 2017 from Napa Valley. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Lemon and honey on the nose; tangerine, green apple, creamy toasted almond, and citrus on the palate.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Pine Ridge “Stags Leap District” Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 from Stags Leap, Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,

“The ruby/black color of this wine tells you it is pure Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of floral sweet pea, sun-ripened plums, sweet oak, mushroom, and wet earth leap from the glass. The bold, rich, mouth-filling flavors of blackberry, black licorice, espresso, and cocoa powder combine with juicy acidity, tobacco, and tea tannins. Enjoy this well-structured, complex, and layered wine with a silky, lingering finish for years to come.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

First, SOHO will pour a Honig Sauvignon Blanc 2018 from Napa Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“Bright, and fresh. The flavors and aromas are reminiscent of peaches, lemon curd, white grapefruit, and passion fruit with perfectly balanced notes of citrus, stone fruit. The fullness of the mid-palate is complemented by a crisp, lengthy finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Acacia Pinot Noir 2016 from Carneros, Napa Valley. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“The 2016 Carneros Pinot Noir opens beautifully offering layers of red-fruit aromas; Bing cherry, cranberry and sun-ripened raspberry. The aromas ring true on the silky textured palate where the juicy fruit core intermingles with baking spice, black tea and wet stone minerality.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Pozzan Zinfandel 2016 from Oakville, Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,

“The 2016 Michael Pozzan Oakville Zinfandel glows a deep ruby red in the glass. The nose is powerful, with explosive aromas of bright ripe raspberry, yellow peach, candied cherries, and a touch of sweet summer hay. The mouth is dramatically expressive, with volatile flavors of peach, boysenberry, cantaloupe, and milk chocolate, all balanced by a frame of sweet French oak – vanilla, cinnamon, and clove. The wine’s lengthy finish is pure Tahitian vanilla bean.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

Oh Napa, we do love you. Find our, (and your) new favorite NAPA wines tonight at Flight Night. Plus, take a look at Chef Joey’s very delicious, creative tapas that Jeffrey has paired the wines with! You’ll be amazed. See you this week in Vinings!

This Flight Night begins on Wednesday, May 8th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through May 14th.

First, SOHO will pour Sequoia Grove Chardonnay 2015 from Napa Valley.  The winemaker offers,

“The nose pops with an immediate hit of fresh lemon rolling quickly into lemon curd and warm toasted almonds. The fresh fruit nose is balanced nicely with secondary aromas of custard and brioche, ripe melon, pear, and poached pear. On the palate the wine is full of flavor: perfectly nutty toast and marzipan. The mid-palate is creamy with a hint of nutmeg and finishing with fresh citrus.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Elyse Nero Misto 2015 from Napa Valley. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Like a hippo on a tightrope, the 2015 Nero Misto (Italian for “Mixed Black”) is big, bodacious, and above all, balanced. Dark purple in color with aromas of briar patch, green peppercorns, violets, and earth, this homage to the Cal-Ital blends of early Napa is a serious red wine. On the palate, it offers a lively and focused mouthfeel with mixed berry flavors and an amazing balance of fruit, tannin, and acidity.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Robert Mondavi Cabernet 2016 from Napa Valley. Notes on the wine,

“Our 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon delivers mouth filling, deeply intense blackberry fruit across the palate with clove and cardamom spice complexity and dusty tannins that add structure to the juicy fullness of the fruit.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!

100% Chardonnay
Paired with: Grilled Cheese Terrine, Tomato Soup Aspic, Basil
