Argentinian and Chilean wines? Yes, please! You heard that right….we’ve got a Torrentes, Malbec, and a beautiful red blend featured this week at SOHO! We continue our tour of South American wines until the end of June, so come see us!

This week’s Flight Night begins on Wednesday, June 20th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through June 26th.

First, SOHO will pour a Bodega Colomé Torrontes 2017 from Calchaquí Valley, Salta, Argentina. The winemaker offers,

“Intense gold in colour with green tones, this wine has a bright floral nose with the citrus aroma of grapefruit and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is fresh and well structured with a crisp finish. This wine is elegant and fruity with tropical notes to the fore.”

Next, SOHO will pour a Altamana Grande Reserve Malbec ‘14 from Maule, Central Valley, Chile. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Intense, lively ruby color. Aromas of raspberry and Morello cherry with floral notes introduce, a complex palate with well rounded tannins and great balance. The finish is intense and very long.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a Cuvelier Los Andes – Colección 2011 from Valle de Uco, Argentina. Notes on the wine,

“The Colección is a blend of varietals. Purple in color, with a brooding bouquet, it is a dense, structured, rich wine with impeccable balance, volume, and length. It has the structure to evolve for 2-3 years but can be approached now. It is a great value.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
