Throughout March, SOHO is spotlighting the wines and flavors of California. While we love the wine of Napa Valley, the rest of the state produces exceptional wines as well, so grab a seat and enjoy the other wine regions of California. Paired with tapas by Chef Joey Zelinka, our flights are sure to please!

This week’s Flight Night begins on Wednesday, March 28 and the wines and their tapas will be available through April 4.

First, SOHO will pour a 2014 Ojai Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara. The winemaker offers,

“Lightly chilled, this 2014 Pinot Noir exhibits a knock out aroma of pretty dried flowers and it goes down with altogether too much ease.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2015 Klinker Brick Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi. The wine is described by the winemaker,

“Our Old Vine Zinfandel is a blend of 16 different vineyard blocks of old vine zinfandel vineyards with an average age of 86 years. With berries and spice on the nose, dark, sweet fruit fills the palate with just a hint of black peper. This wine has a long, lingering finish.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2015 Justin Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles. Notes on the wine,

“Full bodied with bright black cherry, black currant and berry fruit with an underpinning of oak barrel accents on entry. The mid palate show continued fruit with savory herbal notes, mint and a hint of violet. The finish is clean, long and layered with lingering dark fruits surrounded by soft chewy tannins balanced by crisp acidity and subtle floral notes.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef Joey Zelinka has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
