As we continue into October, SOHO showcases the amazing New World wines from the Pacific Northwest!  Join us in celebrating these unique wines with our delicious paired tapas from Chef Jeff Sigler.  This week’s Flight Night begins on Wednesday October 19th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through Tuesday October 25th.

First, SOHO will pour a 2014 Argyle Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley.  The winemaker offers the following tasting notes,

“Argyle Pinot Noir is an honest representation of the Willamette Valley. The nose leans towards dark cherry, red raspberry and earthy minerality, while the middle palate is lush and graceful.  On the back end, the wine builds density and focus as the silky, yet subtly firm tannins build into the long, energetic finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2013 L’ Ecole #41 Merlot from Columbia Valley.  The wine is described as,

“Layered with enticing aromas of black cherry, violet and rose petal.  This full bodied Merlot shows a bright core of red fruit, blackberry, and baking spice on a seamless finish of fine grained tannin.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2013 Browne Tribute Red Blend from Columbia Valley. The winemaker says,

“This silky red blend offers big fruit flavors and well-integrated, velvety tannins. Aromatics of pipe tobacco, leather and dark fruit layer with ripe boysenberry flavors and a hint of black pepper. The finish lingers with blackberry jam and toasty, graphite back notes.
