Join us in celebrating these unique New World treasures with our delicious paired tapas from Chef Jeff Sigler.  This week’s Flight Night begins on Wednesday October 12th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through Tuesday October 18th.

First, SOHO will pour a 2014 Dobbs Family “Jovino” Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley.  The winemaker offers the following tasting notes,

“Opens with aromas of cheerful, bright red fruit, hibiscus petal and hints of baking spice and nutmeg. This Pinot Noir has lively acidity and exhibits flavors of pomegranate, red currant, strawberry and vanilla. A warm growing season with high quality fruit provides a soft entry, silky mouth feel, and boasts a flavorful combination of red fruit, cola and oak.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Northstar Merlot from Columbia Valley.  The wine is described as,

“The 2012 vintage has rich concentrated aromas of cherry, raspberry and chocolate that lead into flavors of cedar and vanilla with a lingering toasted oak finish. This highly structured wine was created to enjoy now, or for many years to come as it will age gracefully. Enjoy!”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2013 Revelry Vintners “The Reveler” from Columbia Valley. The winemaker says,

“The Reveler is a rich and layered wine, with so many flavors unfolding throughout the profile. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, the wine shows flavors of black cherry, blueberry, dark chocolate, and cassis.”

SOHO’s Executive Chef, Jeff Sigler, has created a suggested tapa plate to pair with each of the wines!
