As we continue into August, SOHO is celebrating the delicious wines of Sonoma for our Flight Nights! This week begins on Wednesday August 10th, and the wines and their tapas will be available through Tuesday, August 16th!
First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Benziger Chardonnay from Sonoma . The winemaker offers the following tasting notes,
“Our Sonoma County Chardonnay is a vibrant, engaging wine that bursts with mouth-watering fruit and lively acid. Flavors of apple, pear, citrus and ripe apricot engage the palate, while subtle, creamy hints of butter and meringue unfold. The final presentation is a luscious finish, leaving the palate refreshed and wanting more.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2013 Bench Knights Valley Merlot from Knights Valley. The wine is described as,
“Brilliant ruby red hue, the nose is expressive with cherry cream, blackberry reduction and cedar. The palate is creamy and lush, flavors of pie crust, dark forest fruits and tangy marion berries meld together on a lasting, elegant finish.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2013 Roth Estates Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley . The winemaker says,
“… complex aromas of black fruits intertwined with vanilla bean, tobacco leaf and black olive. The entry is soft with supple tannins and a full body. It displays a medley of flavors with black currant, blackberry, plum, black olive and herbs in the forefront, but has subtle notes of spices and cedar that offer a wonderfully balanced and lingering finish.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef, Jeff Sigler, has created a tapa plate to be paired with each wine!
