For the month of August, SOHO is bringing it back to the USA! We will be celebrating the glorious wines of Sonoma for our Flight Nights! This week begins on Wednesday August 3rd, and the wines and their tapas will be available through Tuesday, August 9th!
First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Quivira Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma . The winemaker offers the following tasting notes,
“The 2013 melds Old World style Sauvignon Blanc with the New World. It’s round and plump, yet finishes with cleansing acidity. Notes of herbs and some signature grassiness are apparent on entry, flowing into flavors of tropical fruits, lime and gooseberries.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2014 Chalk Hill Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast. The wine is described as,
“Dense aromas of raspberry, cherry cola, forest floor and juniper berry entice the senses as this 2014 Pinot Noir opens in the glass. On the palate, the wine showcases similar red fruit flavors of raspberry and maraschino cherry, but with the additional notes of dill, smoke and crème brûlée.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 Chateau St Jean Cabernet from Sonoma. The winemaker says,
“… vivid aromas of blackberry and boysenberry fruit along with brown spice notes clove and nutmeg. The nose leads to a generous, well-structured wine with a ripe fruit core and warm vanilla crème. The rich and flavorful palate has smooth tannins and a lingering finish.”
SOHO’s Executive Chef, Jeff Sigler, has created a tapa plate to be paired with each wine!
