First, SOHO will pour a 2011 Nipozzano Vecchie Viti Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG. The winemaker offers the following tasting notes: “The nose opens with very ripe fruits: cherry, strawberry and raspberry are prominent. Sweet scents of cotton candy and wild rose and notes of walnut and walnut husks. Spicy notes follow such as cloves, star anise; the finish is minerally. The palate is persistent and fresh, very smooth.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Browne Family Vineyards ‘Tribute’ from Columbia Valley, Washington. The wine is described, “This silky red blend offers big fruit flavors and well-integrated, velvety tannins. Aromatics of pipe tobacco, leather and dark fruit layer with ripe boyesnberry flavors and a hint of black pepper. The finish lingers with blackberry jam and toasty, graphite back notes.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 BV Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaker says, “Our 2012 Beaulieu Vineyard Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon captures this area with briary blackberry, dark plum, black cherry, chocolate and tobacco leaf. The famous Rutherford Dust gives the wine cocoa-powder tannins and texture, while well-integrated oak adds toasty mocha notes to the generous aromas and expansive flavors.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, and sous chef, Chris Lyons, have created a tapas plate to pair with each wine.
