First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Maison L’Envoyé ‘Two Messengers’ Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon. The winemaker says, “The wine opens with lifted primary red fruits and notes of five spice on the nose. On the palate, red currant and pomegranate characters are supported by supple tannins and vibrant acidity through a long, satisfying finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Owen Roe ‘Ex Umbris’ Syrah from Willamette Valley, Oregon. The winemaker offers the following tasting notes, “The 2012 ‘Ex Umbris’ is a great expression of bold fruit flavors from that year. Bursting with aromas of red plum, blueberry and pink peppercorn. The palate is filled with refreshing flavors of fresh summer blackberries, currant and dark chocolate with noticeably structured acidity and silky tannins.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 Browne Family Vineyards ‘Tribute’ from Columbia Valley, Washington. The wine is described, ” This silky red blend offers big fruit flavors and well-integrated, velvety tannins. Aromatics of pipe tobacco, leather and dark fruit layer with ripe boyesnberry flavors and a hint of black pepper. The finish lingers with blackberry jam and toasty, graphite back notes.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, and sous chef, Chris Lyons, have created a tapas plate to pair with each wine.
