Throughout the month of September, SOHO Atlanta Restaurant will showcase the wines and flavors of Italy. The Italian tour continues on flight night Wednesday, September 23. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, September 28.
First, SOHO will pour a 2011 Belguardo Serrata di Belguardo. The winemaker offers the following tasting notes: “Aroma, aromatic with scents of ripe cherries, spice and chocolate. Taste: A rich, balanced red. Soft and well-structured with flavors of wild berries, spices and herbs.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Tenuta Olim Bauda Barbera d’Asti DOCG ‘La Villa’. The winemaker describes the wine: “This wine is typified by a deep and bright ruby-red colour with a rich concentrated nose depicting cherry and berry fruit aromas. The palate is generous and full-bodied with a long and enticing finish.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2013 Zironda Valpolicella Ripasso. The winemaker notes: “The wine displays a ruby red colour and hints of red fruits with roasted coffee notes. Well-balanced, rounded and elegant.”
