SOHO Atlanta Restaurant continues to showcase wines and tapas from France and the USA on flight night, Wednesday, July 8. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, July 14.
First, SOHO will pour a 2014 Chateau Graville-Lacoste Graves Blanc from Bordeaux, France. This white blend of Sémillion, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle offers a refreshing, crisp minerality.
Next, SOHO will pour a 2013 Complicated Red Wine from California’s Central Coast. The winemaker offers the following tasting notes, “Super-ripe raspberry and bright red cherry make for a seductive first sip. This racy Central Coast blend has notes of cocoa and well-integrated French Oak. The wine is opulent yet balanced. The finish lingers with flavors of cassis and dried plums.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2011 Château Lavagnac ‘La Grande Dame’ Bordeaux Supérieur from Bordeaux, France. From the Wine Enthusiast review: “This is an attractive, aromatic wine, full of fruitiness and soft tannins. There is a strongly juicy element with black currant fruits adding freshness. There is a touch of spice from wood aging. Score: 90.”
SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, and sous chef, Chris Lyons, have created a tapas plate to pair with each wine.
