First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Stonestreet Bear Point Chardonnay from Sonoma County, California. The winemaker offers the following tasting notes: “The 2012 Estate Chardonnay delivers a distinct mineral backbone alongside a strong citrus element. Tangerine and marmalade emerge first from the glass, opening to a palate that cascades through peach and ocean spray—all culminating in a finish with surprising grip and acidity.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Delas Freres Crozes-Hermitage ‘Las Launes’ Rouge from France’s Rhône valley. The winemaker says of the wine, “The wine has a deep garnet red color. It is fruity on the nose with strong aromas of cassis, plums and a touch of violets. The tannic structure is ample and well-rounded.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2010 Château du Trignon Gigondas from Rhone, France. The winemaker provides the following tasting notes: “A classical Gigondas, that has an overall elegant, yet complex profile, the 2010 Chteau du Trignon (a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Cinsault) offers clean, pure aromas of garrigue, wild flowers, black tea, and mineral-laced red and black fruits. Silky and polished on the palate.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, and sous chef, Chris Lyons, have created a tapas plate to pair with each wine.

Wine Enthusiast says of the ‘Cuvée de Robles’: “Based on Grenache and Syrah, this is an easy, everyday sort of red wine. It’s softly tannic, with a gentle mouthfeel that carries cherry jam, sweet cured tobacco and oak flavors.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Maison Roche de Bellene Bourgogne Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes from France. Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 Notre Dame de Cousignac Chateauneuf du Pape AOC from Rhone, France. The winemaker says of this red blend, “Intense, yet elegant with red fruit aromas of cherry, raspberry, and black currant harmoniously balanced by black pepper, eucalyptus, and leather notes. The freshness carries through the lengthy fi nish. A full-bodied wine with a delicate earthy component on the back palate and attractive tannins.”

First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Marc Bredif Chenin Blanc “Classic” from Vouvray, France. The winemaker provides the following tasting notes: “One the nose, there is a fine bouquet. Next, SOHO will pour a 2011 Les Cadrans de Lassègue Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Cote de Saint-Émilion, France. The winemaker says of the red blend, “Beautifully rich in color, with an enticing bouquet of spice and black fruit. One the palate, the wine is refine and elegant, with a long lasting finish of soft, silky tannins.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2010 Ministry of the Vinterior Pinot Noir from Sonoma County, California.  The winemaker describes the process of creating the Pinot: “Pinot Noir aficionados agree that the best California Pinot Noir comes from the Russian River Valley where early morning fog, warm days, an afternoon breeze from the sea and cool nights combine to make for some very happy Pinot Noir grapes. The higher alcohol content speaks to the warmer microclimate of the vineyards.”
