SOHO Atlanta Restaurant will continue to showcase the wines and flavors of Spain on flight night, Wednesday, April 8. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, April 14.
First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Artazuri Rosado from Navarra. The wine is described, “Translucent pink in color with an alluring nose that contains nuances of fresh strawberries, raspberries, rose petals and orange rind. The palate is bright and fruity with a fresh acidity.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2011 Pasanau Ceps Nous from Priorat. International Wine Cellar said of the wine: “Vivid purple. Smoky, spicy aromas of cherry pit, dark berries and licorice, with a zesty mineral overtone. Juicy and precise, offering bitter cherry and black currant flavors and a hint of white pepper. Shows very good clarity and lift on the finish, which is firmed by silky harmonious tannins.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2010 Ramon Bilbao Limited Edition. Of the wine, the winemaker says, “On the nose it shows suggestive fine fruit aromas, floral tones and white wood tinged with notes of well-measured aging. On the palate, it is fluid and balanced, flavorful.”
SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created a tapas plate to pair with each Spanish wine.
