First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Paco & Lola Albarino from Rias Baixas, Spain. The winemakers describe the wine: “Nose: very expressive and harmonious nose. Fine notes of white fruit (green apples, pear) and lemony aromas. Hints of herbs (basil) and flower blossom base notes. Surprising aromatic intensity.Palate: Fresh with good structure and the same fruit characters as found on the nose. Slightly balsamic finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Triton Tinta de Toro from Toro, Spain. The wine is described: “This lush red, made of from Tinta de Toro (the local name for Tempranillo) opens with dark chocolate, cherry pie, Morrocan spice, toast and date aromas.  It is fuller bodied and concentrated, but not the least bit heavy.  On the palate, there is a dark fruitiness (think creme de cassis), dark chocolate, fig, violet and vanilla flavors.  Buy a few of these as the appealing set of flavors and balance will please just about any drinker.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2009 Bodegas Enrique Mendoza Monastrell “Le Tremenda.” The winemaker says of the wine: “Bright ruby-red in color, this wine shows expressive notes of fresh black cherries and red berries mingled with hints of sweet spice, toast and cocoa.
