SOHO Atlanta Restaurant will continue to showcase the wines and flavors of California on flight night, Wednesday, March 18. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, March 24.
First, SOHO will pour a 2011 Hangtime Pinot Noir from Arroyo Seco. The winemaker says of the Pinot, “”A season that ensured slow and even fruit ripening produced a rich Pinot Noir with lovely rose petal aromas combined with supple blackberry and red raspberry flavors, and hints of chocolate, followed by a long, lingering finish.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Stephen Vincent Crimson from Monterey County. On the nose, the wine offers notes of mocha, licorice, salted caramel and boysenberry. On the palate, the wine has soft tannins with flavors of strawberry, vanilla, and maple.
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 Earthquake Zinfandel from Lodi. The wine is described, “Peppery and spicy with plenty of berry fruit (cherries and raspberries) intertwined
with dusty, loamy soil, incense and a Provencial garrigue-like note jump from the glass of this impressive wine.”
SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created a tapas plate to pair with each California wine.
