SOHO Atlanta Restaurant will continue to showcase the wines and flavors of Italy on flight night, Wednesday, February 18. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, February 24.
First, SOHO will pour a 2011 Rocca delle Macie “Sasyr.” This wine, a blend of Sangiovese and Syrah, offers aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry and raspberry. On the palate, the wine is succulent and supple with a silky smooth finish.
Next, SOHO will pour a 2010 Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Riserva. The wine is described: “Bright ruby color, with purple hues, the aromas project ripe red berry, including strawberry and raspberry jam. In the mouth, coffee, spices and herbs, including an aroma of violets, plummy fruit flavors and aristocratic oak overtone.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2010 Terrabianca Campaccio. The blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of dark berry fruit, hints of cocoa and toasted almond, as well as tanned leather. On the palate, the wine offers a well-balanced body, concentration and freshness.
SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created tapas plates to pair with each Italian wine.
