SOHO Atlanta Restaurant will continue to showcase the wines and flavors of Italy on flight night, Wednesday, February 11. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, February 17.
First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Vietti Barbera d’Asti Tre Vigne. The winemaker describes the wine, “Ruby purple color with ripe red cherry aromas with hints of mineral and vanilla. A dry, medium-bodied red wine with refreshing acidity and soft tannins, the wine is well-balanced with good integration of oak, good complexity and a finish of more red cherries.
Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Zenato Alanera Rosso Veronese IGT. The wine is described, “Brilliant ruby in color, Alanera delights the senses with a variety of aromas and flavors that include fresh and dried cherries and prunes, sweet spice, and hints of coffee and tobacco. On the palate, Alanera is full-bodied with elegant and velvety tannins. Vibrant acidity brings balance and freshness, and supports a long and harmonious finish.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2005 Il Brunone Chianti Classico & Riserva DOCG. The wine is a bright ruby color with intense notes of wild berries. On the palate, it is rich with soft tannins and remarkable fruitiness.
SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created tapas plates to pair with each Italian wine.
