SOHO Atlanta restaurant will continue to showcase red varietals, specifically Syrah, on flight night, Wednesday, January 14. The wine and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, January 20.
First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Fess Parker Syrah from Santa Barbara county. The winemaker describes the wine, “Flavors of dark cherry, blackberry, spice and toast commingle on the palate with light mint and herbal notes.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Andrew Murray Vineyards “Tous les Jours” Syrah. Wine & Spirits said of the Syrah, “Sourced from several vineyards scattered throughout the Santa Ynez Valley, this has real definition, its ripeness held in tension against cooling, earthen tannins that feel integrated and appetizing. With mouthwatering flavors that suggest dark plums and dried herbs…”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2010 Alexander Valley Vineyards Estate Syrah. The winemaker notes, “This wine has aromas of black cherry, blackberry, vanilla and spice. Flavors of blackberry, black cherry and vanilla are complemented by silky tannins and a long finish.”
SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created a tapas plate to be pair with each Syrah.
