SOHO Atlanta restaurant will continue to showcase guest favorite wines and tapas from 2014 on flight night, Wednesday, December 24. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, January 6.

First, SOHO will pour a 2012 La Crema Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Oregon. The winemaker describes the Pinot, “With aromas of violet, star anise, marionberry and bay leaf, our Pinot Noir also offers brambly fruit flavors framed by coffee bean, pomegranate and candied orange zest and acceted by Pacific Northwest freshness entwined with La Crema’s supple and silky mouthfeel.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2011 Browne Family Vineyards “Tribute” from Columbia Valley, Washington. This red blend offers “aromas of leather, cigar box and a hint of black cherry. The palate continues with notes of plum, maraschino cherries, dry cocoa, and a touch of baking spice. Lingering vanilla and fruit notes give way to balanced tannins on the finish.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2011 Mettler “Epicenter” Zinfandel from Lodi, California. The winemaker says of the wine, “Enticing scents of plum, strawberry and vanilla are followed by a wisp of anise. Bold, yet bright and complex flavors of plums, black cherries, dark berries and tobacco are balanced by a hint of smooth dark chocolate that enrobes the palate in richness. The velvety tannins are kept bright and juicy by a pleasing seam of acidity while the flavors build depth and concentration on the finish.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created three tapas plates to pair with the wines.
