SOHO Atlanta restaurant will showcase the wines and flavors of the Pacific Northwest on flight night, Wednesday, October 29. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, November 4.

Oregon's Willamette Valley

Oregon’s Willamette Valley

First, SOHO will pour a 2011 Cristom Mt. Jefferson Cuvee Pinot Noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. According to the winemaker, the wine offers aromas of “brooding deep Oregon-strawberry, pekoe-tea leaves, cola notes.” On the palate the wine offers a “great vitality and liveliness, core of seductive ripe fruit, very pretty and complete wine.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2011 Browne Family Tribute from Columbia Valley, Washington. The winemaker says of the red blend, “The 2011 Browne Family ‘Tribute’ Red Blend is introduced with aromas of leather, cigar box, and a hint of black cherry. The palate continues with notes of plum, maraschino cherries, dry cocoa and a touch of baking spice. Lingering vanilla and fruit notes give way to balanced tannins on the finish.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2011 Chateau Ste. Michelle Cold Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. According to the winemaker, “Cabernet from this iconic 40-year-old vineyard consistently delivers power, structure and rich concentrated black fruit. The wine offers black cherry, chocolate notes with typical Cold Creek weight and user-friendly power.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created three tapas plates to pair with each wine.
