SOHO Atlanta restaurant will continue to showcase the wines and flavors of Washington and Oregon on flight night, Wednesday, October 8. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, October 14.
First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Charles Smith “Eve” Chardonnay from Washington state. Wine Advocate says of the Chardonnay, “A juicy, lively effort, the 2012 Charles Smith Chardonnay Eve is another superb value from this team. Citrus blossom, mineral and hints of lime emerge from the glass, and this medium-bodied, refreshing white will drink nicely for a year or three.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Left Coast Cellars “Cali’s Cuvee” Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon. The winemaker says of the red, “Supple and open in texture this wine offers a mouthful of ripe plum and cherry flavors that mingle with floral and spicy notes.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 “Sharecroppers” Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley, Washington. The winemaker says of the wine, “Spicy aromas of jalapeno and cassis lead to flavors of plum, blackberry, olive and brioche. The mouth-feel is balanced with bright acidity, tart berry fruit notes and firm tannins.”
