First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Muga Blanco Rioja. This white blend – 90% Viura and 10% Malvasia – is described by the winemaker: “Complex and toasted aromas with fresh, vibrant fruits give way to zesty lime, spicy and vanillin toasted oak flavors, fresh acidity, and a refreshing spicy finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2010 Artadi Vinas de Gain Rioja Alavesa. This wine, 100% Tempranillo, was described by International Wine Cellar: “Assertive red fruit and floral scents are brightened by a minerally nuance. Spicy, penetrating and gently sweet, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors and a touch of rose. The long finish features gentle tannic grip and very good spicy lift, leaving a cherry pit note behind.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2010 Avante Ribera del Duero. This wine, 100% Tinto Fino, was reviewed described by The Wine Advocate: “It offers plenty of charcoal, graphite, black currant, licorice and forest floor notes in a rich, full-throttle format.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created three tapas plates to pair with each Spanish wine.
