SOHO Atlanta restaurant will showcase the wines and flavors of Sonoma County throughout the month of August. Wines and tapas from Sonoma will debut on flight night, Wednesday, August 6. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, August 12.
First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Chalk Hill Estates Sauvignon Blanc from Chalk Hill, Sonoma County. According to the winemaker, the wine offers “aromas of nectarine, lime, mango and lemon blossoms echo its palate, round in texture yet refreshingly crisp.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2011 Roth Estate Pinot Noir from Sonoma County. The wine is described: “[This wine] shows Pinot’s elegance and silkiness, with raspberry and rhubarb pie flavors. The texture is light and there is a lot of mouth-watering acidity.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 Bradford Mountain Dry Creek Zinfandel from Dry Creek, Sonoma County. The Zinfandel is described: “Black raspberry and spice leap from the glass, and on the palate, the concentration and richness of that raspberry fruit is stunning. Add layers of blackberry, currant, and Easter spice and all of a sudden, you need to have a second glass of this wine.”
