First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Hartford Court Russian River Chardonnay. The winemaker describes the wine: “subtle aromas of jasmine flower, citrus oil, ripe apple and pear. The elegant aromatics are complemented by fresh kiwi, lemon drop, and Pippin apple flavors. The fruit focused mid-palate is followed by subtle mineral notes and a hint of crystalized ginger in the finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2012 Alexander Valley Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir. The winemaker says: “First produced in 1978, our Estate Pinot Noir has classic style with silky texture. There are aromas of black cherry, strawberry, vanilla, oak, dark fruits and floral stone fruits. Flavors of fresh cherry, red-black fruits, plum and slight pomegranate fill the glass. This wine has good acidity with a structured finish.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2008 Martinelli “Terra Felice” Syrah. The wine is described: “The ‘Terra Felice’ Syrah is a proprietary blend of some of our best Syrah vineyards. It has aromas of vanilla, sweet tobacco, and bacon, and is laden with flavors of raspberry and currants.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created three tapas plates to pair with each Sonoma wine.

First, SOHO will pour a 2013 Decoy Chardonnay by Duckham from Chalk Hill, Sonoma County, California. The wine is described: “This vibrant Chardonnay offers enticing aromas of lemon meringue, honeysuckle and vanilla cream. Next, SOHO will pour a 2009 Selby Sonoma Coast Syrah from the Sonoma Coast. According to the winemaker, “This rich, dark and deep wine enjoyed 20 months of barrel aging  to soften the tannins and extract as much fruit and spice as possible. Flavors of cassis, plum and black cherry are combined with spicy overtones of nutmeg, clove and tobacco.

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2012 Trig Point Diamond Dust Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley. The winemaker notes the Cabernet is a “Bright, deep garnet. [The wine] offers and impressive mix of red cherry, blackberry, and espresso notes fanning out to dried herb and tobacco accents. The mid-palate is soft and expansive with roasted coffee and ripe blackberry flavors. Finishes with soft, supple tannins.”
