SOHO Atlanta restaurant will continue to feature wines from France and California on flight night, Wednesday, July 16. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, July 22.
First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Clos Du Gaimont Vourvray from Vouvrey, France. The wine is described: “Pale yellow in color, the nose reveals floral aromas that are reminiscent of acacias with hints of dried fruit. Fresh notes of green apple and citrus fruit lead to a rich, concentrated dry palate.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2010 Domaine de la Noblaie Chinon from France. The Cabernet Franc is described: “A nice fruity style of Chinon, this wine has a subtle peppery spice, ripe dark berries and a soft, chalky mineral character that really makes the fruity core come to life and express the fantastic character of Cabernet Franc. There are rich tannins on the finish and a juicy freshness throughout.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2011 Conn Creek Cabernet Franc from Napa Valley, California. Of the wine, the winemaker says, “Red plum, pomegranate, and Indian Blood Peach overlay tobacco, cedar and floral notes. This wine is of medium weight with juicy acidity leading to a fine talc-like finish.”
SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren, has created three tapas plates to pair with each wine.
