SOHO Atlanta Restaurant continues to showcase the wines and flavors of Washington state on flight night Wednesday, October 16. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, October 22.
First, SOHO will pour a 2011 Novelty Hill “Stillwater Creek” Chardonnay from Columbia Valley. The winemaker describes the wine: “Lively and inviting, with crisp apple, ripe pear and a hint of tropical fruit aromas and flavors that form a rich mid-palate and linger across a creamy finish.”
Next, SOHO will pour a Revelry “Reveler” Red Blend from Columbia Valley. The winemaker notes the wine, a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is “rich and dynamic with a deep, silky, undeniably long finish.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2011 Chateau St. Michelle Indian Wells Cabernet from Columbia Valley. The winemaker, Bob Bertheau, says of the wine: “The Indian Wells Cabernet is our warm climate ripe, jammy “New World” style of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine typifies the Wahluke Slope region with up front, dark fruit aromas and flavors with hints of vanilla. Vineyards in the area are more than a decade old and showing character and complexity.”
SOHO’s executive chef, Joe Ahn, has prepared three tapas plates to pair with each Washington wine.
