Finally, SOHO will pour a 2007 Col Solare from Columbia Valley. The winemaker describes the wine: “Aromas of black cherry, currant, and ripe black berries, together with subtle notes of espresso and vanilla in the nose. On the palate, this full bodied wine is rich with flavors of dark chocolate, black fruits, and a coconut spice which leads to a lingering, silky finish.”

First, SOHO will pour a 2011 Alexandria Nicole Destiny Ridge Vineyards Roussanne from  Horse Heaven Hills. The winemaker says of the wine: “Definitively more old world in style given the cooler vintage, the aromatics start down the route of Viognier-passionfruit and peach-before deepening into more classic honey and apricot scents with air. Juicy, pure and concentrated, with lovely intensity, the flavors are delicate yet rich, with a clean line of minerality to focus the wine all the way through the finish.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2010 Canoe Ridge Cherry Street Red Blend from Columbia Valley, Washington. The wines’ tasting notes: “Offering a rich mix of cassis, blackberry, mocha with subtle cedar notes, the blended varietals harmonize to one smooth, satin-like wine. A powerful style, without being overbearing.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2008 Stella Maris Red Blend from Columbia Valley. The wine is described: “Layers of smoke, vanilla, spice, raspberry, and cherry flavors on a soft and silky palate make this a very approachable, versatile wine.”

SOHO’s executive chef, Joe Ahn, has created three tapas plates to pair with each Washington wine.
