SOHO Atlanta restaurant will feature the wines and flavors of Oregon on flight night, Wednesday, August 7. The wines and tapas introduced Wednesday will be available through Tuesday, August 13.
First, SOHO will pour a 2012 Montinore Estate Borealis from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The winemaker describes the wine: “The aroma practically covers the full fruit spectrum with notes of peach, yellow apple, pineapple and with bright citrus popping out, accented with whiffs of cut hay and fresh flowers. On the palate it starts with a soft, slightly sweet expression of ripe fruit of peach and pear with a crisp acid balance and citrus zing, which evolves to a delicious long, crisp finish of grapefruit and lime.”
Next, SOHO will pour a 2011 Erath Pinot Noir. The winemakers says of the Pinot Noir: “Wafts of red plum and raspberry intertwine with spice, soft sage and an intriguing hint of cracked pepper. The palate features flavors of juicy Bing cherry, cranberry cocktail and a late kiss of vanilla spice.”
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2010 Mile Marker 71 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Says the winemaker, “This lush Pinot Noir has bright cherry pie aromas with rich strawberry and plum flavors finishing with a hint of cinnamon and clove. ”
